    Easy - and versatile

The main piece I purchased this treatment for was a wooden desk. I used an undercoat. I used two coats of the zinc paint. Then 24 hours later the ageing solution. Because I wanted heavy ageing, I used a whisk broom to apply some of the solution - and a old paint brush for the rest - I loved the finished product. Although this was a large desk and I had finished the back also, I still had about 1/2 of the paint left..so I painted a wooden box, a large antique mirror, a glass vase and a large metal candlestick - all without an undercoat. I used a regular paint brush on all - except for the glass vase, where I used a sponge. On the antique mirror, I wasn't totally happy with the ageing, so I went back and applied more solution after the first had dried - and that time it came out just as I hoped. The 'paint' actually was usable for about 2 days - so, plenty of time for you to do a test board and try different methods of applying the ageing solution (as that is what really determines what the finished product will look like). I would definitely purchase this again.
